About Us

RCCG Dominion Sanctuary Parish

Dominion Sanctuary, is a family-oriented parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. DSP was founded in Winnipeg, on March 29, 2014, as a multi-cultural and non-profit gospel ministry that seeks to lead people into a personal relationship with Christ

We love God passionately, we love people unconditionally and we live life purposefully seeking to make heaven our home and to take as many people with us. Therefore, we continue to pursue holiness as a lifestyle until every nation, community, family and individual is reached for our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the late winter of 2014, on March 19, a fresh work was started by God through the agency of Pastor Freddy Ademola, his amiable wife Pastor Olufunke and their blessed children, David, Daniel, and Deborah. Little did they know that this courageous act would pave the way for the birth of RCCG Dominion Sanctuary Parish Winnipeg. Pastor Freddy fondly called PFA along with his family, embarked on a mission to create a multi-cultural and non-profit gospel ministry that seeks to lead people into a personal relationship with Christ. This effort among others led to the creation of Bloom Sunday where contemporary topics are discussed bringing about a connection between biblical principles and success in the world space making DSP a haven of spiritual growth and divine connection. As their numbers grew, so did their aspirations. A time came through the mercy of God and the doggedness of the Pastor to seek a more suitable place of service and the current location at 1151 Pembina Highway was secure and a new chapter of growth and expansion began. In 2021, The set man of the house relocated to the United State of America and a process to hand over to a new Pastor began up until March of 2022 that Pastor Olufemi Oshinowo was seconded to Dominion Sanctuary Parish by the Zonal Pastor as the Lead Pastor. True to the words Pastor Freddy, in March of 2023, with humility and grace, he relinquished the reins of leadership to Pastor Olufemi Oshinowo, who would carry forth the torch and raising the banner of the finished work of the cross. Today, Dominion Sanctuary Parish stands as a beacon of faith, a testament to the unwavering devotion of its founders and the tireless efforts of its congregation. DSP is a member of the Manitoba Zone 1, Region 12 of RCCGNA (Redeemed Christian Church of God, Canada, and Americas).

We extend a warm invitation to everyone seeking a deeper connection with God and a loving church family. Whether you are exploring faith for the first time or looking for a community to call home.

History “In 1952, a man called Rev. Akindayomi felt totally persuaded to start a fellowship. He started at Willoughby Street, Ebute-Metta, Lagos a house fellowship called, the Glory of God Fellowship. Initially there were nine members but before long the fellowship rapidly grew as the news of the miracles that occurred in their midst spread. Pa Akindayomi also had a vision of words that appeared to be written on a blackboard. The words were “The Redeemed Christian Church of God.” Amazingly, Pa Akindayomi who could not read or write was supernaturally able to write these words down. In this visitation, God also said to him that this church would go to the ends of the earth and that when the Lord Jesus Christ appeared in glory, He would meet the church. The Lord then established a covenant with Pa Akindayomi, synonymous to the Abrahamic covenant in the Bible. He said that He the Lord would meet all the needs of the church in an awesome way if only members would serve Him faithfully and be Church of God was built. . The church continued to meet at 9 Willoughby Street until they were able to acquire some land thereby witnessing relocation to the present site of the Headquarters of the church at 1-5 Redemption Way, Ebute- Metta, Lagos Nigeria (formerly 1a, Cemetery Street).

Sometime in the early 70s, God had spoken to Pa Akindayomi about his successor. The Lord told him that this man who was not a member of the church then, would be a young, educated man. Thus, when a young university lecturer joined the church in 1973, Papa was able to recognize him in the Spirit as the one that the Lord had spoken about in the past. This man, Enoch Adejare Adeboye who was then a lecturer of Mathematics at the University of Lagos soon became involved in the church. He became one of the interpreters translating Pa Akindayomi’s sermons from Yoruba to English. He was ordained a pastor of the church in 1975.” “If you don’t fear God, you are capable of any evil”.
